Customs House Hotel - Hobart

Housed in a building built in 1846, the Customs House Hotel is located in front of the Derwent River and home to one of Hobarts oldest pubs. The property is located in the heart of the Waterfront precinct. Free WiFi is available throughout the accommodation.

Customs House Hotel is a 2-minute walk to the Salamanca Markets, MONA Ferry, Tasmanian Museum & Art Gallery and a 5-minute walk to the CBD.

Each of the 30 refurbished rooms are fitted with a small bar fridge, teacoffee making facilities and a TV. The en suite bathroom comes with shower and a hairdryer.

Customs House Hotel Restaurant is known for its seafood specialities. Luggage storage facilities are provided. A guest laundry is available on the first floor.

CAR PARK ($20night) : due to our central location, car parking facilities are very limited. If you require car parking, please contact the hotel to reserve it in-advance as it is subject to avaialbility.

LATE ARRIVALS: We are not open 24 hours. If you are arriving past 8pm, please inform the hotel directly.

STAIRS: We do have a lift but there are stairs leading to most rooms. This can range for 10-12 stairs or a full flight of stairs as the lift doesnt go to level 3. Please let us know ahead of time if you need a room without stairs

The hotel day starts from hour 14:00 and ends at 10:00.

Please note that we are in the busiest area of Hobart so it is possible that you will encounter some noise during your stay with us. We do everything we can to minimise the impact of this noise but cannot guarantee that your room will be silent.

Please note parking is not available at certain times of the year due to event restrictions in the area. A reservation request is recommended to avoid disappointment.

King Room - Water Front. Room is fitted with a king-sized bed, air-conditioning, fridge, teacoffee making facilities and a TV set. Features views of the Derwent River. WiFi is available. There is no capacity for extra guests. All our rooms are unique and different, please pre-request if you like a specific feature of the room. ;
Standard Twin Room. Room is fitted with a fridge, teacoffee making facilities, ACand a TV set. There is a queen-size bed and single bed, Maximum occupancy is 3. There is no capacity for extra guests. Please note these rooms do not have waterfront views. ;
Standard Queen Room. The Standard Queen rooms offer a queen sized bed with ensuite, AC, coffee making facilities, TV, desk & small fridge. Standard rooms do not guarantee the views. It may look out over the back of the surrounding buildings or Parliament house. ;
Standard Queen Room - Above Bar. Please note this room is located above the bar. From Wednesday until Saturday guests may experience noise disturbances. Located above the hotel bar, this double room offers a flat-screen TV, AC, a bar fridge and tea and coffee making facilities. There is also a desk and a private bathroom. ;
Superior King Room. This air-conditioned room offers a TV and a refrigerator. Tea and coffee making facilities are provided. It is fitted with a king-sized bed. WiFi is available.
